Seems this thread was a bit premature, #4 and still dropping now. Quite bad for the supposed queen of digital sales. The three-and-a-half star rating on iTunes also stands out to me, perhaps the public is finally tired of the constant stream of mediocrity that Katy has been serving for years.
At least it went Top 10 though, a lot of singles recently struggled to do that after promotion on late night shows
1 Miranda Lambert - Vice
2 Justin Timberlake - CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! (Original Song From DreamWorks Animation's "Trolls")
3 Sia - Cheap Thrills (feat. Sean Paul)
4 Katy Perry - Rise
5 Florida Georgia Line - H.O.L.Y.
6 Meghan Trainor - Me Too
7 Calvin Harris - This Is What You Came For (feat. Rihanna)
8 twenty one pilots - Ride
9 Adele - Send My Love (To Your New Lover)
10 Drake - One Dance (feat. Wizkid & Kyla)
11 The Chainsmokers - Don't Let Me Down (feat. Daya)
12 Shawn Mendes - Treat You Better
13 Sia - Cheap Thrills
14 Kelly Clarkson, Chloe x Halle, Missy Elliott, Jadagrace, Lea Michele, Janelle Monáe, Kelly Rowland & Zendaya - This Is For My Girls
15 P!nk - Just Like Fire (From "Alice Through the Looking Glass")
16 twenty one pilots - Heathens
17 Dan + Shay - From the Ground Up
18 Kiiara - Gold
19 Flume - Never Be Like You (feat. Kai)
20 gnash - i hate u, i love u (feat. olivia o'brien)
21 Britney Spears - Make Me...(feat. G-Eazy)
22 Rihanna - Needed Me
Oh well, at least it's still in the Top 20
Good for Katy! I'm just glad the song reached not only top 10 but #1 on itunes. Some artists can't even do that with their non-lead, lead singles. Legends only I guess.
Rise's success reminds me of Say Something's; both started around the same, and ended up having major longevity. Katy's the Xtina of this generation bar none.
Why are Christina and Gaga stans trolling like their fave's singles aren't the biggest bombs so far this year?
TIHTY - >100k
Change - >40k
I think that's why they're coming for Make Me tbh. They're living vicariously through Katy since Change couldn't do what they all and Christina herself had hoped I hope she has better luck with her next single, but I'm not sure since Change had huge promo and still didn't make the Top 10
honestly, are ppl actually impressed with Katy's first week so far with Rise?
this is no hating on her or the song, i just honestly wonder. cuz i sure aint
the thread title implies it's #17 or something, it's #4. Plus, since when is still being top 20 on iTunes a week after release impressive for an A-list pop girl?
