It's losing steam in Australia quickly now. Only 5% lead over In My Blood. It held on to #1 for a good 6 days of the tracking week though so hopefully that should secure it a nice debut... if YouTube streaming is strong enough, possibly #1 debut.
Food for thought: In My Blood (current #1 song in Australia and #2 on iTunes) is only #17 on ARIA Streaming Songs. This means a) it's not a very strong streaming force and b) streaming doesn't influence the charts too much.
With both of these things in mind, I'm pretty sure Rise will debut at #1 in Australia. But their sales might be really close so idk. Does anyone know how long it took RISE to top AU iTunes? Was it released right at the top of the tracking week or a bit later?
surely it will be up before the olympics to capitalise on success when its played all day on NBC??
Rise is doing what I predicted. It's going to be a slow climber and a slow burner. Smash in the making.
