I kinda love how everyone can recognize Meredith's faults and express their frustrations, but also still appreciate how much she's been through and how important she is. I think we see it less in some seasons and more in others, maybe alternating since it was so strong in season 11, but she really is the glue that holds this whole thing together.

But 11 was kind of brilliant, it was the dark and twisty season we all really needed.
S9 looking back wasn't bad per se, but it's basically 100% plot.
Like it or not, you can't help but acknowledge that the Ellis parallels, the one big thing near the end (), everything that Meredith went through in S11 was incredible important!
I understand why it wasn't the season for some people, but it was everything I'd wanted since the show started, in those respects.

I will agree that some aspects of that particular chain of events were hard to digest, but I ended up loving how Shonda dealt with it and how Ellen portrayed Meredith.
