Those crimes should get even more time than the people that killed the helpless animal, but that's the judges fault.

Animal cruelty/murder should be minimum 8 years, human automatically like 40 or more.

I may get trashed for saying this, but 8 years in prison is insane. They clearly need mental heath because of the ritualistic part, but they do the same thing to guinea pig's all the time in Ecuador...only difference is they then fry em, and eat em for lunch.
