Today I had WDYLM stuck in my head so I decided to stream IASF on TIDAL, but I forgot how mediocre that album really is.

There are a few timeless hymns in there like Diva and Single Ladies, but 80% of IASF is trash. Beyoncé sis...

So where do you stand? A fan or a hater of IASF? And if it won seven Grammys, how many Grannies should LEMONADE win next year? I mean the JUMP in quality is out of this world...

It's her worst album by far and, generally, one of the worst albums ever put out by any popgirl. The fact that it's sandwiched by B'Day and 4, two of the best r&b albums of the last 10 years, makes it even worse

I find most album tracks from IASF and backwards to be unlistenable.

I wouldn't call it tragic. Maybe a step down from her previous works, but it's still somewhat listenable.

IASF had some pretty good highs, but it had some pretty good lows.

The highs outweigh the lows unlike DIL. which keeps it from being her worst album.

I honestly love it, I just don't like some ballads on it.

It's not tragic, just ok. Not up to her standards.

WDYLM, Sweet Dreams, Halo and some more save it.

It was great at the time but it aged badly. It doesn't help either that every album she's released since is not only 1000x better than that, but amongst the best albums released this decade.

In Ottawa, in 2008, I remember hearing this album AND about this album often. Much Music, hot radio stations, etc. hyped it up soo much that Bey was coming back.

Do I like it? Yes, my favourite album of hers. Awesome 4 the time (2008) and amazing longetivity in 2009. Hit after hit she charted, so I don't think it's tragic. I don't like when IASF is compared to her latest work and deemed as "tragic" or "mediocre." I find a lot of her recent work pretentious -- this is because of the public and her fans, not so much the content. If it weren't for the public, I wouldn't be having an aversion to Bey and her latest records.

To me, IASF is her "last" pop record, and I suppose the last time I liked her this much. For me everything downhill afterwards. I think part of my aversion comes from her fans and public, not so much her music content. So, I still love Bey's music; I'm just disgusted by how her latest records are treated, received, and other mechanisms like these. I'm starting that it isn't the music that needs to change; for me I think it's the fans, because I find that their toxicity has poisoned my love for Beyoncé, including her name brand and so associated acts and albums.

I only use the singles.. but it isn't horrible.
