German train ax attack puts Merkel migrant policy back in spotlight reut.rs/29S7CQ5
(Reuters) - A young Afghan who attacked passengers on a train in Bavaria with an ax had entered Germany last summer with a wave of migrants, officials said on Tuesday, raising more questions about Chancellor Angela Merkel's open-door refugee policy.
The case is likely to deepen worries about so-called "lone wolf" attacks in Europe and could put political pressure on Merkel, who has welcomed hundreds of thousands of migrants to Germany over the past year.
The attacker came to Germany as an unaccompanied minor and was registered as a refugee on June 30 last year in Passau, officials said. Germany welcomed about 1 million migrants in 2015, many fleeing war in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.
"In the minds of many people, his arrival is directly linked to Merkel and her liberal refugee policies," said Frank Decker, political scientist at Bonn University.

Personally I feel like what she did was irresponsible and partly fuelled by Germany's WW2 guilt. In doing so she's made it easier for radicalised people who left Europe to fight in Syria to slip back into Europe unnoticed.
Has danger put Merkel in Europe?
No.
There is everywhere a dangerous people, who can hurt others, it's just get more publicly showed off and it looks tragic.
I am not the biggest Merkel fan, but there was no right policy or descision. The refugees needed to go somewhere. Had Europe countries left those people to die, it also would have been horrible and people would also would have put that against her.
There are also "lone wolves" under various immigrants and just your avarage German, Dutch, Spanish guys that are brainwashed online or through friends who could have done the same things.
The world is a rotten place, I mean there are also people like that breivik guy in Europe who also handle out of other religions who also was mentally unstable and was not able to be stopped before he took many lives.

Well technically she has because the Paris attackers, Brussells attackers and now this guy came back into Europe as refugees
There is more to the immigrants. After watching the recent BBC documentary on Syrian and Afghan refugees i changed my mind greatly, on the middle eastern immigrants, running away from war. This people face alot of hardships and torture, i can only imagine how it affects some of their mental health during the journey into europe on road and sea. In the end leading to such attacks, especially when they face discrimination and hatred, in a place they thought would be much more peaceful and away from torture. At the end of the day, they regret why they were even born into this world.
Still am disgusted at the Rich UAE countries and there rejection of fellow muslims, yet they can house and accomodate them better. Sorry to say this, i still question the modern day islam, majority have no brotherhood, compassion and care especially the extreme right religious pretentious countries.
