What do you think the great american empires such as The Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans would look like today if white people hadn't colonized them?

I don't think they would be all that much different to how the Europeans found them, assuming that they had no contact with Europeans.

Regardless of your intentions, this kind of thread invites and incites people to make racist and ignorant comments such as "they would still be savages" as if the indigenous nations of the Americans didn't have complex societies and developing sciences. It also unnecessarily reminds people who are indigenous, like me, about the genocides and massacres that their families suffered as a result of colonization, and trust me there are a lot of Latinos who still have very deep root with their indigenous ancestors. This thread is pretty much like asking "where would black people be if slavery hadn't ended in the U.S.?"

The Aztecs and Incas did have complex societies, and certain advancements that not even Europeans had. Plus they had way better hygiene and agriculture.

The only reason why the Europeans were so advanced was:
1). They had heavy trade with the Middle East, Africa and Asia which brought many ideas. In fact Europeans had to re-learn their history from the Muslims. They gained a lot of advancements from the Chinese and Muslims.
2)They were in close proximity, and had a very war-like mentality due to the scarcity of land. War brings in plenty of new advancements, and because of a lack of sources they had to fight and go out and explore for more wealth.

The Europeans brought gunpowder from the Chinese, plus the compass from the Chinese. They wouldn't have gotten to the Americas had Columbus made made the correct turn.

I think they would had eventually colapsed. Most of them had blood/sacrifice religions, not to mention the tension between them and minor ethnic groups

I think it's almost impossible to say, since we don't know how they would have been able to develop themselves. The US would most likely be more nature based, since the cultures of the Native Americans actually respected nature and the animals.

What didn't matter as much as where, whereas few centuries have passed and now both are taken into account.

People in general need to step away from religion (obstruction) and learn the journey of humans.

There's far too many who have little idea what they're talking about with regards to history.

Edit: Much like how disappointing it is that someone spoke about pigmentation on TV the other day and her words were called "genius" by hundreds and thousands because what she said 'ends racism,' as possibly the most intelligent argument to discrimination they've ever heard in their lives?
