The absolute delusion Labour is showing by thinking Angela stands a chance of improving Labours prospects.

They're lucky we will have left the EU before the next general election, with Angela as leader there would be literally nothing stopping a massive Labour to UKIP swing. Almost as bad as that time Scottish Labour voted Jim Murphy as leader and didn't realise they were guaranteed to fail.

Corbyn should use his pull to bring the Greens to proper prominence.

The good news for the rebels is that there is that there is a six-month cut off date for members, so the 130,000 or so who have joined since the referendum are ineligible. The £3 fee for registered supporters has also been increased to £25 which will have to be paid between July 18-20 if people want to vote.

Not as clear cut now, Corbyn could easily lose this.

If he does win though, I don't know if I can continue being a member. He has turned the Labour Party into a protest party without any real prospects of governing. Not that Angela Eagle is much better, I'm holding out hope that Owen Smith will decide to run. Otherwise I'm totally in favour of a split.

No chance Corbyn loses. Particularly against Eagle. It'll be about 70% Corbs. Maybe even more if this Facebook group I'm in of Labour members is anything to go by.

I'm not a staunch Corbyn fan, and I could potentially vote for someone more electable. But Angela Eagle? No chance. What an audacity. I'm not part of the Corbyn-cult that is literally huge (and why he won't be losing this), but I will not be voting her. She's literally running on the basis she is "not Corbyn", she is a female, and that she is somehow more electable.

Someone who voted for the Iraq War, and voted against the inquiry on it, you would expect to be laying low after Chilcot. But nah, she's somehow the answer to the Labour Party's problems after finishing 3rd (or was it 4th) in a Deputy Leadership election last year, and doing a semi-decent job at the dispatch box a few times this year. The NECK. Sure, her policies might be a bit more electable than Corbyn in the sense she's more neoliberal - but she has presented zero ideas. Zero vision. At least Corbyn represents something, no matter how many people may disagree with it.

If you genuinely think Eagle will win, put money on it I as I imagine you can become very rich. But there is no chance what so ever - Every poll I see is literally 90% Corbyn

The only thing relevant about Corbyn is that he's Labour leader. Most of the thousands of new members who signed up for Corbyn have never been Labour supporters, they're the purist socialist types who saw an opportunity to get their views into the mainstream and took it.

Totally agree about Angela Eagle. I'm hoping she's the sacrificial lamb and they're all going to end up uniting around Owen Smith who announced this morning, a much better candidate.

The problem with people like Jeremy is they are all idealism and no pragmatism. We would all like to walk around demanding we get what we want and offering no compromises, but that's not how the world works. His behaviour in insisting he be able to lead the party regardless of if it brings it down makes me wonder if he is mentally fit to be PM. He seems delusional.

If Corbyn wins... I can't. We're 10 points behind in the polls under him, and his leadership ratings are some of the worst ever recorded. Even people who voted Labour in 2015 prefer Theresa May! The far-left has truly infiltrated our party and is trying to turn it into something it is not, more of a protest group than an actual credible alternative and a party of governance. It's the 1980s all over again. Except this time a party split would be much more successful as the new party would automatically become the Official Opposition in the Commons.

How convenient that both times the Conservatives have had a female Prime Minister, Labour decide to have an identity crisis and become so utterly incompetent that even some of our most loyal voters have to think twice before putting a cross in our box.

Those MPs that first nominated Corbyn, not because they actually wanted him but because they thought he had no chance and just wanted a debate.
