Idk, but I would assume Loretta would stay in the Justice Department.

I'm not sure about the whole cabinet, yet, I'll have to give it some thought, but Samantha Power would make a great Secretary of State, I think, or Susan Rice. And I'm hoping for Elizabeth Warren to be her VP, of course. And I read the the chief of staff job is John Podesta's if he wants it, he's her campaign chairman and was chief of staff to Bill at one point.

Robby will serve in some capacity. That's not even up for debate.

I also think she might be moved to Homeland Security, she knows a tad about policing and ****. I also think Bill may or may have not already offered her a cab position during their meeting, so I think she might stay.
Clinton is all about loyalty, I don't see her forgiving Samantha for her past against Clinton.

This is far from true. The thing I would say kills people the most about her is that she actually works with her enemies. It was a complete shock to everyone that she got programs and bills passed with the same people who tried to get her husband impeached and said First Ladies could never hold political office.

He'll probably be campaign strategist for 2018 midterms and then get started on a re-election campaign.

Podesta will be Chief of Staff.

Imagine Barbara Boxer (Commerce), Barbara Mikulski (Health and Human Services) and Jennifer Granholm (Energy) will all hold cabinet positions.

Tom Perez and Julien Castro will remain or get a promotion.

Loretta Lynch remains at Justice, Vilsack remains at Agriculture.

Samantha Powers and Susan Rice will not get a role. Not on the best terms with Clinton, I believe.

Does she have a robust record of working with her enemies? Yes. Does that mean she'd assign them high-ranking cabinet positions? I highly highly doubt it. She has many colleagues in the political field and I just don't see her prioritizing her once-enemies over them. Never.

Agreed. But I also think it goes beyond that. Hillary will want to appoint people she is close with to her cabinet. The Clintons value personal relationships. Whilst Obama left cabinet appointments to his staff, Bill was personally involved in every appointment.

Hillary does not have a great relationship with either Powers or Rice. Her State Department was constantly at odds with an interventionist White House National Security staff. Neither will hold an important position in her cabinet.

Instead, I believe it is highly likely that she appoints Jake Sullivan. Her foreign policy advisor for almost 10 years by the time she takes office. Served as a her chief policy staffer in the State Department, served as Biden's NS advisor after she left, and in charge of all her foreign policy positions during the campaign.

Jake Sullivan won't be Secretary of State, it's well known that he'll be her official national security advisor.

He could be either, but i'd prefer him as SoS.

Clinton needs to reconcile the relationship between the White House and the Departments. Under Obama, tensions between the WH and State, Defence etc. have been ruined because of his interventionist NS staff (under Rice and others). By appointing someone she trusts incredibly in Sullivan, Clinton will be able to keep the WH and State strongly intact.

Also, he has experience. He had essentially the largest role in Clinton's State Department bar herself. His foreign policy aligns exactly with hers. She trusts nobody as much as she does him in terms of diplomatic affairs. He would make the ideal diplomat under the Clinton Administration. See his work in the Iran deal, for example.

Only difficulty would be Senate Confirmation, but Condoleeza Rice did not hold elected office either and was appointed no problem.

Hmm well I'd make it out of dark wood, my personal favorite, finished off with a fine, smooth sheen to give it that shine it needs, all with smooth edges and a brass door handle. It would match her marble countertops pretty exquisitely!

The New York Times already reported that he'll be her national security adviser. And I highly doubt that he'd make it through senate confirmation for SoS, anyway. So if she doesn't pick Power or Rice, and it won't be him, I wonder who she'll choose.

Why wouldn't he make it through the senate confirmation?
