This is true though, it's one of the main reasons I rarely discuss racial issues with white people, particularly straight white males, they are unable to see and check their privilage.

I feel like most white people dont realize how much we live in a white favored society.. its easy to bypass struggle or how you may be targeted for your skin color when it was never an issue for you. The least people could do is acknowledge, realize that there is differences in race in this country instead of shoving it under the rug and trying to bypass the treatment of others because of how hashtags like #BlackLivesMatter may anger them or make them feel ‘discriminated’. Take a rational look at American history and it will show you that white people came to a continent and took advantage of any other group that was different from them.. since the beginning the country has been unbalanced and had a favorable majority, a majority that should move towards understanding that people live completely different lives than them right in their own backyard. White people are walking down the same streets that most Black people are losing their lives at by the hands of the law, the system that so many White people favor. What is seen as heroes to some is seen as a villain to others, someone who really isnt there to protect them but harm them and maybe even end their life. Police brutality has never been a concern for the average White American.
