That's really messed up considering the cops in Vancouver that want to participate, most likely have never committed an act of policy brutality. Instead of asking them to withdraw, why don't both groups do pride together to show understanding and solidarity. Doing things like not including one, just further divides people.

Edit: did you not include the part in the article about the, wanting a public service float instead?

I live in Vancouver, and I am very active in the gay community, and I've seen like max 10 black gays in the past 3 years. I don't see how they have any grounds to be making demands, especially since the Vancouver police have been really good to the GAY community here, which is who this parade if for in the first place.

They can have a voice, and I respect BLM and what is happening in AMERICA,
but this is too much and almost everyone on FB agrees.

I want the police to have their own float,
they have been good allies here. Most of our cops are POC and women, so BLM needs to chill. Stop trying to bring conflict from the States across the border, all this is doing is make people think BLM is annoying, and it wont do Black people in Vancouver any good.
