It will. Usually the evolution is somewhere between 2x - 3x more than the current cp
But if you got a 10 cp Kakuna you'll get like a 25 Beedrill
. From there you CAN get it to a super high cp but you'll have to spend loads of stardust and you'll also need loads of weedle candy. Just not worth it
Evolving it, well obviously you need the correct number of Eevee candy. But your first one you get depends on your team. I'm team Instinct so I got a Jolteon at first. My friend was team Valor so his first was Flareon. And obviously if we're Mystic your first would be Vaporeon
After that it's random and you get what you don't have (so if you first got a Jolteon you won't get another Jolteon until you have a Flareon and Vaporeon).
There's also a way to choose what you want (for example let's say you can get up to all 3 because you don't have one yet). If you change their names to certain nicknames you can get an Eevee to whatever you want but nobody really does this because I don't think they care enough lol
