Its not inspiring revenge. Secondly, the police have a history of murdering black people regardless of innocence or guilt and regardless of the circumstances around their arrest. So yes many black people do have reason to believe when police do get involved in black communities they make things worse and not better.

With that being said no one deserves the treatment the police have inflicted on black people for hundreds of years.

To those who say black people commit the most crimes so they deserve what the police dish out, similar logic could be applied in regards to the police. The difference is the police have a higher responsibility to behave in professional manner because thats what they've sworn to do and they are unelected government officials. People expect better from police than they do from citizens as they should.

The only "flawed" structure it has is that you can, in 2016, pick out angry tweets from people who have no association to the actual grassroots efforts involved with the movement to paint your own narrative. A narrative that confirms all your biases of black people.

I've noticed a lot of people here use "Black Lives Matter" group as a synonym for all black people. So even if no BLM people posted anything problematic (which none really have), you would still get on twitter and pick tweets from people with black avatars as proof.

MLK and the Black Panthers didn't have that, so I guess that's why the FBI had to get involved and attempt to paint them aa communist sympathizers. Same story, different generation.

What actions? Did BLM kill 5 cops? The only thing they've done so far is organize marches.

This is insane.

Ironically, things like this only serve to make the situation re: police brutality worse. If I were a cop, I'd be clutching my gun even tighter, and that much more likely to view a potentially hostile situation as a fatal one, given they are now being hunted. It should go without saying, but this is pretty much the exact opposite of a solution.

The people who did this did have the same motive as the ones who shot the cops in Dallas, being anti-cop. The BLM movement obviously wasn't founded on protest, but it's incredibly unfortunate that there are people killing in the name of it and tarnishing what they're actually about.

Interesting. Not the first time military-training has led people to have skills to kill innocents. Wonder if we'll see the same people blaming Black Lives Matter for these senseless killings pushing for the dismantling of the military and the end of the normalized violence part of American culture. If there was no military, he wouldn't possess the skills to murder these people so skillfully and senselessly.
