Discussion: Should we be ashamed of our Western bubble?

4,436,224,000 people live in Asia - that is 60% of the world's population.

1,216,130,000 people live in Africa - 16% of the world's population.

Just 579,024,000 live in North America - 7% of the world's population.

Europe has 738,849,000 people - 9% of the world's population. The Eurasian landmass therefore contains over 85% of the world's population.

Should we be ashamed of how US-centric our world view is? Are we living in a bubble?

No, its not our fault despite what some people might say and anyway Asia is rising up quickly so everything will even out eventually.

Um not really. From personal experience a lot of people in Asian countries have become or are in the process of becoming westernised.

well the Western people have better IQ and more freedom and better life in general than places with poverty or dictarship. We should be very lucky to live where we live, but also help the poor as much as we can

India alone has a population almost twice as big as NA and yet it is hardly ever mentioned.
