The people that complain about the chattiness inherently don't understand Adele shows. The more she talks, the better she's feeling and thus performing. Anyone who would say that last night's show had better energy or musicality because of less banter are ****ing idiots honestly.

Anyway yeah it was 99% altitude sickness and the heat tbh. She talked about missing Simon before MYFML, but she wasn't like weeping all over the place in the speeches or anything concerning of a bigger issue like that, so really I think she just didn't feel well. She had issues in Denver during 21 as well; she specifically said she thinks she'll be better in Vancouver and Seattle.

I partially agree with the complaints, from what i read the critics prefered she would rather sing other songs rather than go through lengthy banter time. Like the part where she meets her fans for pictures, i think it would be much better used for a later meet and greet and sing Right As Rain/My Same for example. She could keep the singing competition, that was really entertaining.

I don't consider that the same thing exactly; it's a planned part of every show. I was talking the special stories/comments that make every show unique, which were what was lacking last night, she still did the selfie. Tbh I think she's the only uber-major artist that does that kind of banter so well, it stands out and maintains the human part of her image, and I know a lot of us prefer the shows with more of it.
