It's still like an 8/10, though, but TFJ and EH are both 10/10.
EH = TFJ >>> FROOT

Wow....The Family Jewels has her inarguably worst and messiest production, some songs being outright unlistenable. Froot is infinitely more polished and higher quality in terms of its production value not only because of its use of real instruments but the fact that she was able to, for the first time, reign in her over-excessive tendencies and actually release something smooth. I feel like The Family Jewels is adored for the fact that she was a contrarian then that abhorred the notion of being considered a pop star therefore strayed from such an image thus giving her some amount of "indie" cred. Which she then lost somewhat when she embraced the fact that she
is more pop than alt.
I understand when people consider Froot somewhat boring or even at least slightly less interesting than her other two albums because of the aforementioned fact that she reigned in what was considered her "quirks" and made something more adult. Its a very neutral sounding album, she holds herself back a bit. And thats part of what makes it her most cohesive and critically appreciated album thus far. But if one prefers The Family Jewels moreso because of it being her most grassroots effort than I understand. But when people act like its superior because they foolishly think of it as like more "indie" or something I have to roll my eyes.
