And I think there must be some sort of misunderstanding getting in the way - you view it as hard-headed while I view it as light humour...my intention wasn't to find a way around as you say, it was to merely poke some fun at an assumption that Angelo made, with good intentions not ill.

But he said no gifs and our definitions of gifs can be different but majority of the gifs are moving images and you posted that clearly after the amount of time after he said NO GIF USING, IF SOMEONE DOES THEY WILL BE ELIMINATED. As of right now I think you are eliminated but thats up to Angelo, you can communicate with him on that.

Yes, that's the humour - I WAS following the rules that he posted. There aren't multiple definitions for a GIF - a GIF IS the file format GIF for an image it may be animated but it can also be a still. Nothing else is a GIF. He made the assumption that everybody would know that by .GIF he meant animated image but assumptions like that are made to be poked fun at.
I've already spoken with Angelo anyways, and as of this moment my status is TBD.

But to most everyone a gif is a motion picture and thats what he was going by. TBD means he is still doesn't know if your eliminated or yet. He may have a change of heart but gif's were really getting out of control and I approve him of doing that and I even suggested him banned gif's this cycle all together. It may have poking fun of an assumption but you did that after he was still ticked after all the gif usage so it wasnt smart.

That's the assumption I was making fun of. You may disagree, but when I'm annoyed a little bit of fun cools me off and seems to be the case with most people I know as well. Given that the general mood of the thread was quite argumentative and dark, I thought that my post could help lighten that, and given what I knew there was nothing wrong with that.
Perhaps Angelo could have stated that he was personally annoyed with the GIFs and animated images and I probably would have let it alone. I couldn't have been sure of that otherwise.

But what was a mood boost for you only fueled the argument over it and Angelo was through with it and wanted nothing more with them. Sometimes its better to say less than try to help the situation because it could only stirr it up some more

What I said is that it would lighten the mood of the thread and perhaps provide a laugh to the other participants in the thread, least of all me.
And as I already articulated, if I had known that Angelo was annoyed, which I didn't and couldn't have because he never said that and his post didn't imply it either - then I wouldn't have made that post.
I think it would be a shame if I was eliminated because of this misunderstanding because I think it's quite clear I wasn't doing it to be annoying. Perhaps it wasn't appropriate but few people were fully aware of the circumstances so most would agree that's forgivable.

I don't make assumptions about people's thoughts or feelings unless it's physically evident, so I especially don't make such assumptions on the Internet. I think that's understandable and reasonable. I had no solid reason to believe he was peeved. It's probably obvious to you because you were talking to him about it, but it wasn't as obvious to me when I posted. I do apologise to Angelo if I further angered him, I did not know his feelings at that time.
