Wasn't just last week that sales broke a negative record, with the top song of the week selling under 100k (the first time that this happened?).

TIHTY is a slow ballad about rape made for an irrelevant documentary that leaked months before its release, I wouldn't expect it to do well. Rise on the other hand is a pop song produced by the biggest hit maker of this decade. Not to mention the over the top promo its been getting, she's treating it like its a lead single! I'm almost sure most of the GP thinks this is her lead single.

Girl, you know damn well 90k is a good number. What other females from her generation (besides Beyoncé) could open higher than that? Remember that the song was also dropped with no warning, video or promo.

Katy's number is horrific for her though.

90k is amazing for Britney given the fact every single released since S&S has damaged her reputation as an artist, both for her fans and for the general public. The Gaga and Beyonce fans can move along, as if Britney's sales affect your lives - or do they?

I though it was sorry. My point is that sales are not that relevant for the charts anymore. We should be hoping for good streaming numbers for Rise and Make Me.

I am quite shocked honestly. I know sales are the pitts lately but still. I guess I haven't been paying that much attention anymore. Also, she doesn't have a radio deal. Roar had like 40 millions listeners in it's first week. Rise will have less than 1/4 of that.
