Poll: Is playing up to stereotypes wrong?

So I was watching Bunk'd (because yes, I am trash), and the Indian kid has a very thick accent.

This is an example of him on the prequel Jessie, he starts speaking at like one minute in.

But this accent is not real at all, he just puts it on for the kiis. He was born and raised in America, it's all fake.

Do you think this is wrong? It's like he's selling out his ethnicity for a few laughs for some privileged white people. Shame on Disney, tbh.

I actually didn't know this

I do want other cultures to have more representation, but only if they have good intentions and it shows a real glimpse of their lifestyle. If cultures are introduced as a joke then it's wrong.
