That episode was just ****ing insane best episode we've had in SO long
Not when last weeks episode was already epic too.
What happened to their writing? These fast, clever and funny dialogues are amazing. The plot is going strictly forward and they have the perfect mixture between suspense, drama/romance and comedy.
i haven't watched yet, spoilers please, what happened?
They burried Rollins, Spencer almost had sex in an elevator with a guy she didn't know, Jenna and Mona are back, Mona is helping them, Toby and his police crew are looking for Rolllins, Emily is on the screen for 2 seconds and Cahleb is gone.

This season is reminding me of S3-S4. It SLAYS. The only issue I have is the lack of "A". It's like there is no one after them.
I think they're substituting the "A" scenes for scenes w
Mary Drake
and
Dr. Rollins (when he was alive, at least)
. I think they're trying to show that this new "A" is better at hiding in plain sight. I kinda like it, although I do miss the creepy outros with A's hands playing with stuff.
Jenna, Sara, Sydney are a team. I suspect Melissa may be on their side. Or she works with Mary and Rollins. They all want revenge, but have different angles. Sara crossed the Uber A team so she's murdered. Uber A is probably still Cece (she never died). If Wren ever comes back, we'll find out he was playing on all sides. That's my endgame. Hopefully I'm right.
Every time someone new does the Shh in the opening I get ENRAGED at the off center finger to the lips; Arya's was iconic, but everyone after pisses me off even more
Okay. Marlene officially confirmed Wren is back for the 2nd half. I'm going with my initial (tweaked a bit) theory.
Quote:
Mary Drake had two kids - Cece and Wren. Their dad is possibly Scott Montgomery (Aria's uncle). Mrs. D got Mary sent away. Took in Cece and gave up Wren? Cece's story may be accurate about being Charles. Everything she said about being put in Radley was true. She was there with Mary the whole time. If Aria is their cousin, she visited as a child but has suppressed her memory or actually knows Wren is her cousin. Remember "Wren drove me home". (If they go this route, then that may explain Eddie Lamb recognizing her.)
Wren fell in love, or had a soft spot, for Bethany. Cece was overprotective tho because she knew Bethany was a crazy bitch. Bethany's drawing was Mary, Arthur, Cece, and Wren. She got out that night and talked to Melissa. Got killed because she tried to expose their plan - to kill Mrs. D, but when Ali got hurt they stopped. Cece and Wren stayed working together possibly with Melissa lurking. She's either as crazy as them, or was blackmailed this whole time. Years later, Mary killed Mrs. D in her act of revenge. IF SHE'S DEAD, Mary wants revenge and so does Wren. Jenna hated Cece so I wouldn't be surprised if her and Melissa actually did kill Cece finally after all these years. IF SHE'S STILL ALIVE, she lied to the girls, and those three are all just crazy.
OR Cece lied and Wren is Charles. She told his story because they felt it was a good time to wrap up for a bit. 5 years was a good amount of time to think the game was over until they said "NOPE. We tricked y'all bitches." These are still, imo, the four most important and underrated scenes in PLL history. Wren told Spencer that Cece needed passes in to see Mona and that Melissa told her she was there, but Cece said she was already a patient. One of them lied. And Mona and Eddie were very sketchy of Wren.
And a part of me still thinks this whole big mess got pushed into high gear when Wren and Cece found out Bethany was the one dead and that Ali was alive and well this whole time. Remember what I said about Wren's soft spot? That was the moment he took over from Mona because his lover was dead. That's were Crazy and Walking After Midnight comes about. Cece wanted to find Alison because she loved her cousin. Wren hated her and her family for what they did to his mother. So yes I can see Cece and Wren working together, but having agendas that contradict each other which explains the "I take care of my end of the deal, you take care of yours".
