Catfish posts young AFL player's nude images online
Photos of a young AFL player’s genitals have been leaked online after the footballer was tricked into thinking he was sending the nudes to a woman he met on social media.
The ‘woman’ was actually a man who put the photos on an X-rated ****ographic website in the United States, the Herald Sun reports.
The victim was groomed by a man using a woman’s profile and even received images in exchange for the ones he sent which appeared online.
The catfisher even named the young man alongside the graphic images.
The young footballer is being counselled by his club and was reminded sending ****ographic images was against the AFL’s social media policy.
The club, who have chosen to remain anonymous, are seeking legal advice against the man who tricked the footballer into sending the photos.
‘This incident serves as a stark reminder to anyone out there exchanging explicit and private material, online or via social media, to reconsider their actions, because the person they think they’re communicating with could turn out to be someone else with malicious intentions,’ the club said.
How stupid can you be in this day and age to even send nude pics to strangers and them not expecting to appear online. Whether this was a catfish or not, it is just stupid to begin with.
