While “Make Me” does not necessarily feature Spears at her energetic, fast-paced best, it does represent a return to form in its rhythm and in the singer’s sultry vocal command.
And Spears sounds better than she has in years, commanding the track with a warm tone that at least doesn’t feel dependent on studio wizards to make her sound alive.
