Doesn't this backlash always happen before a Taylor Swift album?
Before 1989 there was that whole Harry Styles drama, and now Calvin is the promo of her next era (pretty sure there was backlash before Red, too?)
Her personal life is pretty much a non-factor when she's active during an era -- it's all about the music. It all just seems so calculated. She's probably in a room, laughing with Kim, Calvin, Katy, etc, because they're essentially just boosting their public image/media presence by participating in all of these dramatics.
