Police in Auburn say a man crashed into a tree on Tuesday night while playing "Pokemon Go."

The driver told police he was actively playing the game when he became distracted, veered off Owasco Street and crashed into a tree.

The driver, who will likely be ticketed, was not seriously injured, but the investigation is ongoing.

Why do so many people feel the urge to start talking on the cellphone, applying mascara, playing with the tablet and lighting up a cigarette while driving a car? Are you vegetables?

I can't wrap my mind around this either. I really don't care if those people don't care for their safety and die, but I do care for the innocent people they could potentially injure or kill.
