Yeah. This was when I stopped reading. How can you make such a broad statement about a "study" and only use 3 states? They didn't even use some of the most racially disruptive states.

this is a pretty damning statement If black people are just as likely to be shot as white people by the police, but far more likely to be stopped (and thus in a situation where they could be shot), what does that mean

In total a high chance of meeting cops and experience excessive violence.
Idk man. I guess the real problem is that blacks have such a high rate of police interactions compared to whites. I won't say what's the cause of that, but I believe it's because of multiple reasons from both sides.

In NYC they found that 90% of people stopped and frisked were not committing any crimes. Meanwhile 60% of whites who were stopped and frisked were comitting crimes. But still the police stopped Blacks more times than whites despite the fact that whites were twice as likely to have a weapon on them
