Which one of the two artists who debuted in the 80's is more remembered nowadays?

I'm gonna go with Cyndi, since she has released 3 GLOBAL remembered classics, while Janet... well, she's Jackson. Right, haha?!

Janet is the more remembered person but GJWHF is way more iconic than any Janet songs.

According to her youtube views - they're all forgotten.

Streams aren't the only way music is consumed, you know
Sales and airplay exist too

Cyndi is a two-hit wonder. No one sites her as an influence nowadays. I'm sure Call Me Maybe will outlast several pop girls too, but that means little.

Obviously Cyndi.
Janet as a person (and mostly for the wrong reasons) but Cyndi's music and artistry >>>>
GJWHF, True Colors and Time After Time are classics and still remembered and covered.

#200 and #68
You only need to sell like 10-50 copies to chart like that
Anyways, Janet can get #1 albums even in her 4th decade
