Since its launch the game is EVERYWHERE in the news and the internet. People can stop talking about it. It's impacting even marketing in some places where rare Pokémons have appeared or that are Pokéstops in the game. People are making money by driving people to local where are Pokemons to catch or itens to get. Sedentary nerds are leaving their house for the first time in years just to hatch eggs.

It's already more downloaded than Tinder and Twitter on Android and after just 2 days already made more money than ha cousin Pokémon Shuffle Mobile that is out for almost a year now. If you go to gaming sites like Polygon and IGN, they are filled with news, tutorials and articles about GO.

The high level of users around the world made the servers crash several times because they weren't ready for the massive impact. It's already announced updates that will include trading and other options to the game, a couple days after its official launch.

Absolutely not. This is Pokemon Lite. I'm really happy it's bringing Pokemon back into mainstream light, but it's not exactly a strategic Pokemon game. If anything though, this will bring more players to the new games when they're out this Fall.
