and i couldn't be any happier and more connected to the Self

Officially left Islam last year. I now have a different, more positive outlook on life, my existence, and a deeper connection with nature. I feel free.



Islam is a cancer and being gay is what cured me of it, made me see it for what it really is.

Well yes but it was a mess. I used to be a Catholic and when I was young (8/9 maybe) I was an alter server at mass. This was around the time all the scandals of priests in the past being kiddie fillers and pedophiles in my country came out. One day in the sacristy/changing room of the church I was getting ready to do the alter serving thing for mass and the gown you had to wear had a hood. The priest saw my hood wasn't sitting properly and tried to fix it. When I felt him touch my hood, I got scared because of all the stories I heard so I ran away and didn't come back to alter serving or mass again

Without being under the 'hypnosis' of the church, I eventually made up my own mind about life, religion etc.

The basics of Islam are everything I am against. Ironically, when I actually began studying what exactly I was practicing I immediately felt disgusted. Fundamentally, Islam is radical and incompatible with the modern world.

I'm glad we share the same experience.

Uh I grew up without any religion really, my parents aren't religious and don't have any opinion on God but personally, I learn about God and his Law more and more, I started out of curiosity but now my heart is in the right place and god is my witness. I don't claim any religion and judging by God's Law he doesn't either.

I've been fake Catholic for a while now. I go to church with my parents and the rest of my family because I don't want to disappoint them.

Technically, you can't leave the Catholic Church. Once you're in Catholicism, you're in it for life. And they don't excommunicate anymore.

Same, further studying the religion, it's origins and the disgusting actions and teachings of the beloved "prophet" made me realize Islam is a man-made lie, and those who follow it today, are blind. Whatever "peaceful" Islam they may try to portray these days is not true to the original teachings, it's an ideology centred around war, oppression, and Arab politics of the time, and needs to be eradicated.
