I just asked myself why has there been a sudden surge in police brutality on certain individuals. If you looked back 10 years ago these type of situations never happened except for the recent rodney king situation but everything seemed calm back then. Or has this been going on for quite some time without the situation showing the living day? I believe cell phone technology along with social media has helped us expose the recent police brutality in the united states. I'm sure if the alton situation would have happened in 2002 we would not have a video of it and it would be announced at local news dept as just another side story.
