the labour party's current trouble is far more existential than it simply being a brand issue.
they lost votes to the snp, green and ukip (all very different on the left/right spectrum) and they failed to win the swing voters. right now they're treading water and will continue to sink if they fail to make a move, but these mp's are cannibalising the party by wanting leadership for the sake of leadership over true change/reinvention.
