One of my best friends came out a couple of years ago, and by hanging the rest of us picked up some slang and idioms used commonly by the LGBT.
So the other day I had no plans for dinner and he told me that he was having some friends over but I could join them if I didn't mind not knowing them. While we were dinning, the TV was on and a judge of our Version of DWTS dragged a contestant, so I said "YASS ... SLAY". Next thing I know, I am being schooled by one of them, who make a big scandal of us "appropiating gay culture" and "not embracing but watering it down", and how straight males like me speaking like that was as unnaceptable as black face.
Do you think that is true?
