I'm sad for those innocent victims. 
I think this will make officers think twice when dealing with black people, though.

Most countries or political regimes did that. From the Romain Empire to the US as well as the Umayyad, the Franks, the Normans, the Ottomans, the French, the British etc...
Invading other countries does not a functioning country make.

It's not like Arabs don't have long history of colonial warfare? 90% of the current countries on the map exist because of previous wars. Don't be so naive.
But you can't blame the current generation for the acts of the previous ones.

French colonies in Africa were not treated as badly and yet their situation has also worsened in the last 50-60 years (they're just more tolerant sexually). Exactly. The Arabs were very successful military, to their credit in a time where it was important, and yet many countries there are falling apart or relying only on oil.

You can't point the finger elsewhere when your claims are denied. Also i find it hilarious, albeit a bit tragic, how you used the example of israel as a "functioning" country, especially in a thread about racial tensions with black people. Israel is known to have forcibly injected african immigrants with birth control shots so they couldn't reproduce. The way black people are treated there is even worse than in the US. If that is your definition of functioning then it says more about you

I meant functioning economically. I'm well aware of the issues Israel is facing and the country is of course not without fault. On the other hand, it has been surrounded for decades by countries who despise it and is one of the only tolerant countries towards LGBT people in the region.
