What is the problem saying All Lives Matter? Is it supposed to be something bad? Doesn't all lives matter? Or was it created to kind of pit it against the Black Lives Matter? I don't know guys.
You don't see anyone but Black People getting shot for no reason so yea, you shouldn't say All Lives Matter.
Give her a break. I'm pretty sure she didn't mean to be racist.
Even i, who don't live in US, and as a black/mixed person (actually my skin color is the same as Drake), months ago didn't understand what was wrong with the #AllLivesMatter hashtag, because in fact - all lives matter. Not only white ppl lives.
But then i realized that this could be like a response by racist people to the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag.
She's white, don't live in US too and probably is not educated on this topic. And she already tweeted what she really wanted to say + used the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter. No one was born knowing everything, good for her that she recognized what was wrong with her statement and i'm sure she won't do this again.
I remember when I posted this on Facebook this white boy got mad, and each time I checked off something, he would type these long ass essays about how I was racist and that All Lives Matter
great tweet, Jess is a very smart woman she didn't say nothing wrong, yet ignorant people will jump on her throat because she didn't use the hashtag they wanted her to use, so instead they are calling her all types of ugly names. Says more about them than her tbh
People who are saying "I used to be a fan, not anymore" on social media are idiots. She's SUPPORTING the movement. All she means is Black lives matter just as much as any other race. She just worded it in a way that isn't seen as "trendy".
