It'd be more offensive to me if the society I lived in DIDN'T have measures in place to help level a playing field which has favored white people like myself for generation upon generation.

I'll never understand why people are so uncomfortable with things like this. You can't NOT talk about race when inequalities persist between them... and we won't be able to work to tear down these inequalities if we don't put measures in place to help change the society we're in to make it fairer to all races going forward.
