I can't believe this is happening again. Stupid fun fact: she released The Fame during Bush's last year and will be releasing LG5 during Obama's final year.

Why do ya'll not want another November release? Its the best month to release an album, its right before the Holidays. In terms of sales, Q4 > Q1

The wait from applause to artpop was really easy for me, I didn't really struggle or was impatient... We had

1) Applause
2) Applause Performances (VMAS, GMA, and so on)
3) Applause Music Video
4) Itunes Festival which basically gave us half the album
5) Do What U Want
6) Do What U Want Performances (AMAS, The voice, and so on)
7) Do What U Want video

8) Venus
9) Dope
10) Tons of photoshoots

It felt like a lot happened from late August to Early November; the wait from July (applause announcement) and applause's release felt way worse for me

Considering the position she's in of having to win people back and convince them to invest in her again - particularly with a change in sound - then it's beneficial to have the first single out breaking the ice, followed by the second single to confirm that "she's back" alongside an album which now (hopefully) has two hits to sell it.

It particularly makes sense if they debut the lead around the VMAs, then use AHS to sustain hype until the second single and album drop in Q4 between Black Friday and Christmas. Lines up the Grammys/Brits for the third single, too.

I feel like Gaga will be a slow streamer, but if the song cliques it will slay Spotify but it will take a month or two to peak on Spotify, which would be late October/Early November and she can release the 2nd single right before album release or with the album, giving it a video or something

Exclusive premiere on Beats 1, roll-out on every music buying and streaming platform, followed by the music video on VEVO, huge payola deal, Beats / Apple Music sponsorship through commercials plugging the song (gearing up for LG5 being a time streaming exclusive for them). Then a Zane Lowe interview about her career to date and the upcoming record. And of course the performance of the single at the VMAs.

I agree it kinda felt like we already had the album after Swinefest, so when we finally got it, it was great, but it wasn't that exciting. We already knew half the songs, but obviously we wanted the rest.
