um, when I was 12-13 maybe. luckily i've seen the light, and realised it's gross! i used to be such a huge BMTH stan. The one good thing that came out of that was the money I got back when I sold all of my BMTH vinyl.
that being said, some angrier music that I wouldn't particularly class as that is good! bands like White Lung, Perfect P***y, In This Moment, Savages, etc are great
I don't use Screamo mainly because I can't get into it. I don't understand or relate to it and it sort of scares me when I try to listen to it. That is just me though. It is still music that other people like so I respect it as I do all music.
I do understand that it has a meaning to other people and although to me it is 'just a load of screaming and uncomfortable noise,' that is because I don't understand it and because the artistic value of it misaligns with my own musical tastes.
I would actually like to learn how others developed a taste and love for it and how they hear it differently and with more depth than I do.
Not anymore. I used to love Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada, BrokeNCYDE, BOTDF, August Burns Red, and ofc the kings ADTR, I still have their CD in my room somewhere.
