Exactly.
Plus, Wun Wun was fighting for Jon, without him they wouldn't get the castle back.
Like Ramsay said, the Vale army wouldn't be able to do a siege. The snow would kill many.

That's not how it works
The Red Wedding had far reaching consequences. The entire North was affected. It wasn't just Robb and Catelyn dying. Their death meant the North was no longer united, which allowed for the Boltons to take over.
Jon united them again. He took back Winterfell, along with Sansa. That's how he avenged the Red Wedding.

oh he united them when almost none of them cared about his ass enough to be in the battle, and it was only saved when sansa called her cousin's army?
anyway, given the total lack of ****s most of them gave about the boltons ruling them, you could argue they mostly *were* united beforehand.

No Jon = No battle
No Jon = Sansa back with Ramsay cause he could have gone after her at Castle Black
No Jon = no united North because Sansa is not a military commander

I hope she dies the cruelest death in the next season.

She is evil, but also she destroyed the whole ridiculous cult..If you didn't felt horrible about her walk of shame, imprisonment, and death of her children you are just cruel. She is definitely dying in the next season, already getting insane and even Jaymie won't support her.I used to hate her, but her character is so strong, wise and definitely improved, an evil genius.
The fanatics died too fast in fact, still sad about Margaery and Loras, but the ****s are dead at least..
I don't get the Sansa hate, let the poor kind girl breathe, if you read the books, you would know, that she only wants to be married to a prince peacefully (like most of you and nothing wrong about having such characters). The disappointment in men can change it, all of them were disgusting (sorry, Tyrion!) and finally she is starting to feel independent (with it comes the strength).
They are weak characters like Tommen or Sam, you all love...

No Melisandre = No Jon
She got Winterfell back to the Starks!
But seriously, her leaving was wrong.

She gave the ridiculous power to the cult in the first place. Cersei brought about her own pain, like ALWAYS.
The North was mostly united in either following the Boltons or not minding enough to lift a single finger to stop Sansa being tortured and raped every day.
**** Northerners.

I don't blame you for thinking that way, that's all the show's fault. The North would never leave anyone in the Stark family without help, never. But really, they made them careless in the show for plot reasons
In the show, it's clear that everyone in the North despises and/or are afraid of the Boltons, if you payed attention, only Karstarks and Umbers fought with them (and they did it because of their own interests, not because they are loyal to the Boltons) and the North has many other houses. So, they are not helping Jon, but they aren't helping Ramsay either.
The North united in the end, after all the things were solved, when Jon was proclaimed King In The North. The last time all the northern lordes were all together and in peace was when Robb was still alive. So yeah, he united the North again.

Better yet:
No R'hllor = No Jon
Melisandre said that if the Lord of Light did not wanted Jon back, he wouldn't be resurrected.

1) exactly! Cersei is manipulative & privileged a la Dany, but lowkey one of the dumbest characters in the show, as she consistently gets in her own way. With the personality of a Margaery, for example, she'd be waiting for Dany at the doe with a strong lannister army (possibly with 2/3 of her kids + Tywin), the full support of the Tyrells, maybe even the martells or starks. She gets no credit for dismantling the beast of her own creation, when the only net gain/loss between season five to now is that she's lost a powerful ally and gained another powerful enemy
2) totally agree, as fanservicey as Lyanna's speech was, I did like that SOMEONE put those glorified sycophants and opportunists in their place. The north didn't remember when it was moderately inconvenient for them. I hope all of those houses sans the starks and mormonts are the first line of defense against the whitewalkers

I hope they're not done with her yet. I want to know more about her, (being 400 years old and stuff).

Cersei won nothing. She put that cult in power. She's lost her father, all three of her children, and she's about to lose her **** buddy, Jamie. She deserved to be lashed naked through the streets, **** flopping to and fro, wig snatched. And she deserves to die a cruel, painful death by dragon fire or a nice good choking via her brother. No matter, I gonna applaud whenever and however the wicked witch meets her demise.

That's surprising. I thought GoT would finally end a season before the official TV season ended in May; I wasn't into Mad Men ending in June for S5 or S6 either.
This show keeps moving things back the last few years: March 31, April 6, April 12, April 24...

Dany is an underdog. She struggles to win, and she has had to be patient all her life. I don't think she's had a winning streak per se. I don't see how she has to "lose it all" in the end, because she's had to fight for everything her whole life. She's had help, yes, but that shouldn't excuse her trials and tribulations. She better not die. It'll break my heart.

Melisandre needs to join Dany. Maybe she can act as a foil to Kinvara, whose true intentions may not be to help Dany. Are they still using Kinvara nn?
