I find the gun-obsessed culture to be one of most ridiculous aspects of American life. Some Americans seem so obsessed with making guns an integral part of every aspect of their lives that they ignore the inherent dangers associate with them at all costs.
I listened to a
great episode of Fresh Air on NPR the other day that explained how Americans went from having a family gun for hunting and protection to the the concealed carry madness to which many now feel entitled under the Second Amendment. It's really depressing how so many Americans have allowed gun companies and interest groups to convince them that they're safer with unfettered access to guns when they're exponentially more likely to die from gun-related death by introducing them into every life situation.
