Am I the only one who doesn't care if Gaga and Katy release close together again? I'm always down for good music and I'm at that point in my stanhood where I could care less how either of them fare commercially. Learn to enjoy other popstars, friends.

i don't mind katy at all. her songs are bops.

i want the gp and media to focus on the music which they wouldn't if they would release at the same time again. it really overshadowed the start of artpop imo.

I did hate how the media pushed that competitive narrative back then but I don't think it's going to happen again. Back in 2013, Gaga was coming off of a huge peak and people were waiting to grasp at anything that showed her declining, grasping so much that Applause going top 5 was considered flopping for her.

I'm not implying that the media is going to treat her well this time around but people love the narrative of an underdog coming back strong and I feel like people will be more receptive to her new music this time around, especially if its good.

i'm so thirsty but we should be glad that she is taking her damn time to make the album as perfect as possible for her.

Almost forgot to mention, I went to dinner with some friends yesterday and we got to the topic of popular culture. They mentioned how Gaga was having a good year because of her Golden Globe win and her big moments at the Grammys and Oscars.
