I kinda want Katy and Gaga to release closely again but I want them both to deliver and equally slay. I only say this because pop culture has been so boring lately and the new gen pop girls (Ari, Selena, Demi and Meghan) just aren't interesting enough. Even staples like Bey, Rih and Adele have just been a bit of a bore to me.
Some dual slayage would be great. It happened in 2011 with TD/BTW, a lot of people forget that because of Roar/Applause. In fact pretty much all of their eras have coincided and PRISM/ARTPOP was the only one which they didn't both slay, and I put that totally down to the music. We know Gaga's gonna deliver this time so I genuinely think she'll be fine. Obviously nothing as massive as her career beginnings since the 'new/shock' factor just isn't there anymore, but she can definitely have a great era.
We all know damn well if gaga and katy release together, gaga wouldn't hv slight chance to slay together with katy. Katy's team is superb compared to gaga's. Not to mention about their songs preference from the GP and radio. And katy's monster streams everywhere.
But i hope gaga can release together with kesha. So we can see how much she slays over kesha.
Ppl who think Katy will flop are delusional. Katy is not an actual aritst, this is a manifactured singer created to please as many people as possible. Teenage Dream was actually a very good album and even though Prism was nothing but a cheap remake, obviously worse in terms of quality than ARTPOP, it did miles better. People love to like Katy, there is nothing deep about her persona. It's sad really because I'm sure she can deliver quality music but I doubt her managers will ever let her do what she wants. So if both Gaga and Katy perform on the VMAs you already know who the winner is. It's sad but it's the truth,
