Sure they might be bigger now, but they're nothing compared to Britney since the start of the century

No. She would still be a massive celebrity today if that was the case but it isn't. Britney hasn't captured the headlines in a frenzy since pretty much 2008.

So Britney's had the biggest career for a female entertainer and the most searched this century so far. How exactly is she not the biggest celebrity?

Well she has google so she must be somewhat global I guess. But she doesn't compare with Britney.

Britney was a big celebrity from the day she hit the scene till late 2009 or early 2010. Kim wasn't even that big until 2010 or 2011, and then she became huge once her and Kanye started dating or maybe after her divorce with Chris Humphries.

Kim wasn't really a thing until like 2010 in US, most people didn't know who she was last decade.

Kim was literally a closet organizer for a celebrity from 2006-2010. Britney has never been less famous than Kim was in those years. Hell, I have 1,000+ Facebook friends. I've never been less famous than Kim was before 2011.

Yeah but it took time for Kim to become a tabloid obsession. It wasn't until 2010 that she became that. So the period from 2007 to 2010 is equivalent to the period from 2012 to 2015 where Britney was losing her power over the press. So that leaves 10 years for Brit (2000-2010) and 5 going on 6 for Kim. Not trying to downplay Kim's immense press power like many dumbasses do, but you have to take things like this into account.
