As strange as this lawsuit sounds, I wonder if she only filed suit to get her insurance to cover all of her medical expenses. I haven't researched this particular case nor do I know how the law works in Australia, but sometimes these odd-sounding negligence cases are filed primarily because of insurance coverage. That was the
case with the aunt who sued her 8-year-old nephew, but people conveniently glossed over it and ridiculed the aunt.
