its annoying because people stay up all night making noise and some of us are tired from working and need extra rest.

I can kinda agree if you're just inside the house not doing anything (like I have for the past few years) because the fireworks are usually annoying and there's nothing going on, but it's pretty great if you're with family and doing stuff. Like I've experienced some really great 4th of July celebrations in the past (going to see fireworks, having Summer BBQs) and those activities make it really fun.
