ASHLEE SIMPSON Set to Release Fourth Album

She may have been fired from Melrose Place, but don’t count Ashlee Simpson out just yet.

While I wasn’t a big fan of her music until she released “Bittersweet World” I actually liked that she took a different approach to her music and channeled Debbie Harry on her last record and gave up being a Avril Lavigne knock-off. Anyways, there are reports that she’s in the studio recording her fourth album, which will be released later this year.

I have no idea who she will be working with on her next album, or what it will sound like, but is anyone really interested in a new Ashlee Simpson record? Just wondering? I think she should do an electro-pop record with a mixture of ’80s post-disco and New Wave. Although your last album flopped, that sound works for you.

She can't comeback with BW's sound. She needs to pull a "Kelly Suck Without You". Release something like POM or Boyfriend, something radio friendly and catchy.

And please don't be pushing back the album and/or singles. That just kills the hype.

CHICAGO Presents 'Talkback Tuesdays' With Ashlee Simpson-Wentz 1/19

The Broadway company of CHICAGO is pleased to announce details for the September installment of "Talkback Tuesdays," the new series offering post-show discussions and audience Q&A sessions with members of the Broadway company of the record-breaking hit musical.

Designed to provide theatergoers with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of CHICAGO, the next "Talkback Tuesdays" is set for Tuesday, January 19, featuring Broadway's current Roxie Hart, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

Born in Waco, Texas on October 3, 1984, Ashlee Simpson was the youngest person ever admitted to the prestigious American School of Ballet in New York City at age 11. She began her career in television a few years later with appearances on "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Saved by the Bell," followed by a recurring role for two years on the WB's "7th Heaven."

In 2004, "The Ashlee Simpson Show" debuted on MTV and went on to become the number one show in its primetime slot. Her debut album Autobiography was released in July 2004 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard album charts, selling over 398,000 copies in the United States its first week of release. It went on to sell more than four million copies worldwide. In January 2005, her number one hit single from the album, "Pieces of Me," was certified platinum.

Her sophomore album I Am Me was her second consecutive album to debut at #1 on the Billboard charts and went on to sell three million copies worldwide and yielded the hit singles, "Boyfriend" and "L.O.V.E."

Simpson-Wentz, who later released her critically-acclaimed third album Bittersweet World, has also headlined two sold-out national tours.

In 2006, Simpson-Wentz made her film debut as a supporting actress alongside Kip Pardue and Carrie Fisher in the Lionsgate ensemble film Undiscovered, about a group of Los Angeles actors and musicians struggling to make it big. In the fall of 2009, she began starring in the CW's remake of "Melrose Place."

She is the proud recipient of two Teen Choice Awards and the Billboard Artist of the Year Award (2004). She has appeared on the MTV Video Music Awards, Radio Music Awards and American Music Awards and also served as host of the MTV Video Music Awards in Australia. To date, she has graced the covers of countless magazines such as Allure, Blender, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Marie Claire, Seventeen, Shape and Teen People.

"Talkback Tuesdays" is moderated by CHICAGO's casting director, Duncan Stewart.

Ashlee Near Future Plans

An Ashlee fan attended the Chicago talkback and Ashlee said this:

-she's taking a break after Chicago and focusing on motherhood, but there WILL be a new record, she assured it to me
-she's moving back to LA because new york's "too cold"
-the director said he has a feeling she'll come back and she said she'd do velma! (it was joking/serious so take it as you will)
-the director said she's the most professional person he ever worked with. she arrived early when she started in november for a practice and he went inside and she was all ready with her notes and songs highlighted from three years ago
-her dance background helped her ease into the dancing
-she never thought in her wildest dreams she'd be here doing broadway, a dream of hers
-no difference performing from the UK to the US...depends on the crowd.

Pete Wentz wants more babies!

He’s only been a father for 14 months, but it’s a job rocker Pete Wentz says he’d love to try again.

“We are very lucky and hope to have another child at some point,” Wentz, who has a son, Bronx Mowgli, with wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, tells PEOPLE during Hard Rock International’s Rock & Soul Party Friday night near Miami.

Adds the rocker: “We also like doing what you have to do to have a baby!”

“My child has taught me selflessness, patience and how to give this unexplained kind of love,” Wentz, 30, says at the party, where he was asked to deejay by football agent Drew Rosenhaus. “I can’t explain this kind of love, but Ashlee, who is just an awesome mom, shares this feeling with me.”

As for his other job, bassist for Fall Out Boy, Wentz says he’s looking for new challenges now that the fate of the band remains uncertain.

“I am solo tonight, but I won’t sing or perform a song,” he says. “I will just deejay. As for the breakup with the band, all I can say is that for now I want to chill.”

SIMPSON-WENTZ'S SURPRISE FAREWELL TO CHICAGO CAST

ASHLEE SIMPSON-WENTZ bid farewell to her CHICAGO co-stars at the weekend (07Feb10) by throwing them an impromptu party to mark the end of her stint in the Broadway musical.
The singer-turned-actress, who appeared as Roxie Hart in the New York production, hung up her dancing shoes earlier this month (Feb10) to make way for ex-Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams.
And she made sure she departed the show on good terms - by treating her castmates to a special surprise bash at her rocker husband Pete Wentz's Manhattan bar Angels & Kings on Sunday night (07Feb10).
News of the farewell party follows a string of reports alleging the 25 year old had been an unpopular member of the cast. Simpson-Wentz allegedly angered her stage colleagues at an after-party for her New York debut when she barricaded herself and her family in a makeshift VIP section.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz ready for Valentine Day

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz discusses her family plan in the OK! on newsstands now, saying she’s ready for more kids.

“I love being a mother,” the singer/actress/Broadway star, 25, tells me during the Hershey’s Pieces Candies launch held at Hershey’s Times Square.

She welcomes the changes Bronx, 1, has brought to her relationship with Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, 30, whom she wed in 2008.

“We’re together all the time,” Jessica’s lil’ sis says. “Bronx is definitely finding himself, and he’s getting his own personality, so hide-and-seek, and new little things. He does sign language, so that’s been fun.”

Staying spontaneous is something Ashlee strives to do, and Pete – who confessed to me in 2005 his celebrity crush was Ashlee although they only talked a few times – must consider himself lucky.

“Every Valentine’s Day is sweet,” she says. “Pete’s very creative, so he’s always coming up with something clever and surprising me. Hopefully I’ll surprise him this year.”

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz wants to expand her family

After bidding bye-bye to her Broadway show this month, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has headed home to L.A. with hubby Pete Wentz and son Bronx, but in an exclusive interview the singer tells OK! she wants to expand the family!

“Children are the most beautiful gifts you can have in your life, Ashlee tells OK!. “I love being a mother. Definitely, we’d love to have more kids.”

Pete got into playing Mr. Mom while his wife starred in the musical Chicago. “Staying home..it’s awesome,” he tells OK!. But he’s handing mother-hood chores back to Ashlee for a while, at her request.

“I can’t be Mr. Mom anymore,” says Pete, who is taking a break from his band Fall Out Boy. “I’ll have to go out and get a job.”

Both enjoy the low-key life. “Our date nights are always at home,” says Ashlee. “Pete’s always doing something romantic. We cook for each other, chill, watch TV.”

And they delight in watching their 15-month old son grow up. “Bronx is getting his own personality,” says Ashlee. Adds Pete: “He’s a very serene baby.
