I really only dislike Republicans because they're being held back by religion. If they would evolve to 21st century viewpoints on social issues and stayed conservative fiscally, I'd be fine with them. I'd still be a Democrat, but I wouldn't mind voting for a Republican at that point if I happen to not like the Democrat.
Either that happens or the Libertarians absorb the socially progressive wing of the Republicans (which grows more and more every year) leaving the Tea Party as the Republican Party.
