Gaga was never "respected" as an artist to be honest. If you ask someone outside/gp (someone who does not follow pop music) about her the only thing that will answer is: her strange/freakish looks. Nothing about the music itself. And don't even put Metacritic in this conversation, I bet ordinary people don't really care about that ****.
