That's really old school tbh, I was talking to my mother about that lady who got in trouble for beating her son with a chord and she was all "That's just how it was for us back then".

I'm sorry, but Corporal punishment ≠ abuse. There are limits, but simply getting the switch is not means to call a police (unless she's leaving cuts, scratches, and bruising)
