What the ****!!!!!

After "Bored to Death" I had some hope for an album more along the lines of the ST one than EOTS/TOYPAJ if they were going to go the throwback route. It is very juvenile though and awkwardly so at times. There are about 2-3 songs that I really enjoy, but this is definitely a project born of a desire to tap into nostalgia than to make an interesting, forward-moving album.

Funny. This is such an amazing album. I'm glad they went a more mature route.

Yeah, my problem is not in the lyrics (though some are pretty uninspired), but more so the recycling of riffs from their own older tracks and the early '00s sound in general, plus just the general lack of forward motion here sonically. The self-titled album remains their best effort for me as far as lyrical and sonic maturity go.

Patrick Stump should've saved Sober and San Diego for Fall Out Boy. They're such ****ing tunes!
