Nah, they earn too much money and live action actors are too highly regarded for that to happen any time soon.

That's because they don't take inflation into consideration for the records. Gone With The Wind earned like 3.5bn back in 1939, in 1939 dollars, and remains the highest earning film of all time.
Wikipedia has an "Adjusted for inflation" top 10 movies of all time list.
Only 3 of them have come out since 1980
