It's not the first time either. The US armed the Afghan Mujahideen against the Soviets and that blew up in their faces too. I'm not saying it's a "conspiracy" of any kind, it's just a fact that the US (and other countries including my own) have been known to arm "friendly" groups of rebels or w/e only for that to be turned against them when that group gains power.

It was more of an accident though. The US was supporting rebels in Syria that grew to become ISIS. Unless im missing something

yes there were also small children in the Istanbul airport today where 41 people died.

Not in a direct or deliberate way but the actions of the US government certainly created the environment that led to the formation of ISIS.
